Offer and functions of this website
This website contains an online shop for the sale of goods and services. Goods are deemed to be physical objects. Products are presented here which can be added to an electronic shopping cart and then a binding order can be placed and paid for. This website has a header and footer menu. In the navigation pages the products we sell are listed by category and can be called up individually from there. Each product is described with further information on its essential properties, the scope of delivery or service and the total price on a separate details page. From there the product can be added to the electronic shopping cart. The electronic shopping cart can also be visited from the header menu. From this shopping cart the electronic ordering process can be started and completed. In the footer menu you find links to our legal notice with our contact details and information on the legal bases of our online offering, delivery and payment options, as well as links to other useful service pages.
Explanations on the use of the offer and functions
3.1 Virtual buttons
This website can be operated using virtual buttons.
3.2 Start, overview and details pages
On the start page you find a selection of products on offer in the middle area of the page. You can reach the product details page by interacting with a product presentation. In the header menu you can navigate between the different product categories. After selecting a category you reach an overview page where all products in this category are shown. You can reach the product details page again by interacting with a product presentation on the overview page. In addition to all essential information about the product and the total price, the product details pages may contain a quantity selection element as well as shopping cart button. If available, the desired order quantity can be defined in the quantity selection.
3.3 Electronic shopping cart
Add the product (if necessary in the selected quantity) to the electronic shopping cart by pressing the shopping cart button. This electronic shopping cart can also be called up at any time from the header menu. Here it is possible to check products added to the shopping cart. Products can be removed again or the order quantity changed using corresponding buttons.
3.4 Electronic order process
After checking you can complete the electronic order process by interacting with the corresponding buttons. You are first asked to enter your contact details (at least name, e-mail address and delivery or billing address) in the input mask. In the next step you can pick between the available delivery or service options. Finally, you can choose one of the available payment methods, enter the payment details required and complete the order. The order only becomes binding once you press the relevant button on the last order page. This button is labelled "Buy now". Before pressing this order button, you can go back to the previous steps at any time using the "Return" button in your browser and/or cancel the order process at any time. If you opted to make the payment using an online payment method, you will be forwarded from the final order page to the payment provider's system to complete the payment there.
Legal requirements of accessibility
As an online shop, this website is one of the so-called "e-commerce services" and is characterised by an electronic order and payment option. Special legal requirements with regard to accessibility apply to the website. In general, this website must have functions and processes which are geared to the needs of people with disabilities and enable operability with digital tools.
The online shop functions of this website must be
perceivable
operable
understandable and
robust.
Perceivability means that the information and components of the online shop must be presentable to all users in ways they can perceive. Operability requires that the functions of the online shop can also be used by users with mobility restrictions and intellectual disabilities. Understandability means that the information and functions of the online shop follow a logical structure, are clear and are easy to recognise. Finally, robustness stipulates that the contents and functions of the online shop can be used reliably and without restrictions, also when users use digital tools.. If there are products for sale in the online shop which are subject to separate accessibility requirements, information on barrier-free use, if available, must be provided for such products.
Available tools for barrier-free use
This website meets the accessibility requirements through the following measures:
Alt texts for images: Images in the online shop have alternative texts which provide a brief description of the image and can be processed by screen readers.
Operability with mouse and keyboard: The online shop functions can be operated using both a mouse and a keyboard. Using the control keys on the keyboard the mouse pointer can be moved and pressed in the online shop.
Browser-independent page display: Contents and functions of this website are available in an identical layout, alignment and resolution regardless of the browser used.
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS): A programming language is used which separates the presentation of the page contents into layout, colour and design from their actual content structure. This enables digital tools to use their own visibility schemes in order to display the page contents.
Verified correctness of HTML codes: All HTML codes are permanently checked for their proper functioning in order to rule out malfunctions and the missing perception by digital tools.
Sufficient distance between characters: Characters are displayed with sufficient distance between each other in order to avoid a negative impact on the readability.
Compatibility with screen readers: The contents of the online shop must be compatible with all common screen readers and can be read and processed by them.
Responsive design (adaptation to different screen sizes): The dimensions of the contents, elements and functions are automatically adapted to the size of the screen used.
Scalability (visibility when enlarged): Page elements and contents also remain legible in high resolution when enlarged.
Strong colour contrast: A strong contrast between colours of characters and backgrounds is preset to guarantee optimal visibility of the page elements.
Text instructions if input fields are not filled: If mandatory input fields are not completed, a message in text form is issued in addition to a coloured mark. This message highlights which information is missing in the input field.
Subtitles in videos: Integrated videos have subtitles to enable deaf people unrestricted playback.
