Your most valuable tools – your fingers.

No more serious cutting injuries – the new SawStop technology.

Drawing a line with a pencil. Unloading tools from a vehicle. Pulling a screw out of the floor. How many fingers could you do without? Serious cutting injuries while sawing are now a thing of the past. While you concentrate on your work, we'll make sure that your most valuable tools – your fingers – are protected.

After all, you can't replace your fingers. An outstanding invention!

This is how users reacted when they experienced the SawStop technology at a live demonstration.

No more serious cutting injuries

here's how it works!

  • Integrated in a bench-mounted circular saw, the intelligent SawStop technology protects users from serious cutting injuries.

  • The heart of the technology is a cartridge that works together with a spring to push an aluminium block into the saw blade if it comes into contact with the user's skin during operation.

  • The saw blade stops in just five milliseconds, disappearing into the machine bench and out of the hazard area. This prevents serious cutting injuries.

  • The intelligent electronics in the SawStop control system continuously monitor the operating status of the entire system. A clear visual display means that users can quickly see the current operating status of the bench-mounted circular saw. When the green LED is lit, the SawStop technology is ready to use.

  • To prevent it from being triggered accidentally, the material to be cut should be checked for conductivity while the saw blade is stopped. When the red LED is lit, the mechanism is active and it can be triggered. The SawStop technology can be switched off if the user wishes to do so. If this is necessary, the technology must be deactivated before each new cut.

  • If the mechanism has been triggered, the saw can be made ready to use again in just a few steps. All you need is a new cartridge and a new saw blade. Open the cover, remove the old saw blade and cartridge and replace them with the new set – that's all. The system will then check that they are fitted correctly. As soon as the LED constantly lights up green, work can continue.

It all started in a barn in America –

the origins of SawStop technology.

SawStop technology was originally developed by Dr Steve Gass, who later used it as the foundation on which to establish the SawStop business, one of the leading suppliers of stationary bench-mounted circular saws in the USA. In July 2017, this American company was integrated into the TTS Group as a fully owned subsidiary and independent company. SawStop LLC continues to supply the American market with high-quality bench saws…
