Whether you want to make a precise 45° cut or an angle of another size, the trimming saw PRECISIO makes it easy to mitre-cut a profile strip. This application example describes how to work with the saw and shows how you can make a precise angled cut.

    Description

    The trimming saw PRECISIO is used for mitre-cutting profile strips, picture frame strips or skirting boards. A precision 45° cut ensures that the mitre fits exactly once it has been cut. Two preset profile setting rails allow you to work quickly and accurately. As the preset profile setting rail can be set as required, any type of profile strip can be cut with this circular saw.

    Preparation/set-up

    • Set the saw as follows:

      For wooden strips, the speed level should be set to position 6.

    • Secure both preset profile setting rails to the saw and set these to the 45° position. Use the precision angle to check whether the two stops form a 90° angle. If they do not, release the two fastening screws on the preset profile setting rails and set the 90° angle. Then retighten the two fastening screws. Now you can make perfect angled cuts.

    Procedure

    • Proceed as follows to mitre-cut a profile strip:

      Place the profile strip on the first preset profile setting rail, switch the saw on and move the undertable trimming saw forwards.

    • Now mark the required length on the profile strip and place this against the preset profile setting rail on the other side in order to cut exactly along the line with the saw.

      Repeat this process with all the required strips.
